Welcome to the website of ESBO, the European Solid Board Organization. It was formed in 1961 (under the name ASSCO) and represents the interests of all major European producers and converters of solid board.
ESBO is involved with both solid board and packaging made from solid board. Solid Board is typically described as being made from recycled “grey middles”, laminated on each side usually with kraftliner or testliner.
- Solid board is manufactured from recovered paper
- Solid Board is biodegradable and also fit for recycling
In a subsequent manufacturing process the board is converted into packaging, usually boxes or trays, which made be plain or printed. Solid board is also converted into other products such as slip sheets, partitions etc.
